It’s countdown to one of the biggest industry events of the Year — the presentation of the Institute of Internal Communication’s ICon Awards in central London on 17th November. The prestigious dinner at the Landmark Hotel will showcase the achievements of the Institute’s ICons – the internal communicators who have really shone as a result of their qualities and skills. The Awards of Excellence have just been announced – click here for the full list. The overall winners in each category, ranging from in-house team, editor, writer and designer, to photographer, freelance/interim and agency will be announced at the event. One individual will also receive the accolade of ‘Internal Communicator of the Year’. In addition to recognition for internal communicators, the occasion will also be marked by the presentation of the IoIC’s Communicator of the Year Award to the founders of Help for Heroes – Bryn and Emma Parry – for their achievements in raising millions of pounds to support injured service personnel, and inspiring the public to get involved. As well as providing insights into what constitutes real added-value from internal communication professionals, the event is an excellent opportunity to network with a cross-section of achievers from across the sector.
