Foundation Diploma – The IoIC mentor

In many cases a communications professional taking the Diploma of Proficiency in Internal Communications will have a line manager or someone in-company who can assist them through the programme.

In some instances, however, particularly in smaller companies or where the internal communicator is located away from the rest of the team, there may be no-one in-house available.

In that instance, IoIC has a pool of mentors around the country who can step in to assist.

Mentors are, typically, experienced IoIC fellows or senior members who are prepared to help raise the standards in the IC industry by working one-to-one with people.

We try to match cohort members with mentors living or working near them. Typically, a mentor would stay in touch with cohort members on a monthly basis, although the arrangement can be varied slightly to suit individual circumstances.
