The examination, which will also include an interview with industry monitoring panel members, will take place around six months after the cohort immersion day.

It will be practically based and will cover a wide range of skills and competencies including:

• Writing for different media and target audiences

• Editing

• Proof reading

• Interviewing and/or researching

• Knowledge of the internal communication industry and current issues

Cohort members will be welcome to use their own laptop computers (must be set up without security protocols so that a flash drive can be inserted) or write by hand, whichever they prefer. They can also use their own dictionaries, calculators or any other workplace aids.

Examination answers will be submitted to the industry monitoring panel and will be viewed for marking alongside the project and the evidence file.
