Awards winners at the 2008 CiB Strategy AwardsThe 2008 CiB Strategy Awards were presented at a gala event on Friday 14 November.  The winners were announced at the CiB COTY/Strategy Awards Lunch at the Park Lane Hotel, London.

Dave Morris, CiB awards chairman, said: "Every year the standard gets higher, and one of things most striking about this year’s entries was the increasing presence of senior management buy-in and ownership of the communication and engagement strategy.

"Arguably the wheel has taken time to turn, but thanks to the tenacity of the communication professional we are at last turning the tide in organisations. Communication is now an active rather the passive medium through which to motivate and engage employees.

"As the world of internal communication becomes more complex and commercially focused, evidenced by this year’s winners, it’s only right that the CiB recognises and reflects these achievements."
