The IoIC annual dinner took place on the evening of Thursday 12 May. President Alan Peaford and Chairman Dominic Walters both paid tribute to the hard work that has gone in to making IoIC what it is today and both outlined future plans and aspirations. A special thank-you and presentation was made to Kathie Jones who is retiring from her role as IoIC Chief Executive.

A special award was made to Brenda Scott for all her hard work and Liz Douglas received an award on behalf of North Region.  

A raffle was held that raised more than £600 in aid of a brain cancer charity in memory of IoIC/BACB stalwart Ali Smith, who died earlier this year.

Lynette Crompton won the main raffle prize of a weekend at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel and Alison Sharp won a free place at next year's conference, which she has kindly donated to her region to be used by a young member who might benefit from attending.

After the formal work was complete the party really got going until the early hours. Our thanks, as always, to Tony the toastmaster for keeping us in check.
