CiB has launched its 2010 Awards - the largest and most prestigious showcase for internal communication in the UK.... and beyond.
The awards cover all aspects of internal communication activity and reflect the growing complexity and rapid changes in the work that we do as communicators.
Now, more than ever, as budgets become tighter and what we do is scrutinised more closely, the awards offer a golden opportunity to benchmark your work against your peers, show your worth and demonstrate your professional expertise.
There are 15 classes in all covering social and digital media, global campaigns, CSR, reward and recognition and print channels.
So who can enter?
It's not just for employee publications. We define internal communication is any communication designed to build a shared understanding and foster a sense of community within a clearly identified and discrete group. This could include colleagues, communities of common interest, stakeholders, members of associations, and in some cases, customers. "Internal communication focuses on clearly defined and quantifiable audiences," said Awards Chairman, Dave Morris. "PR and Marketing focus more on broadcasting information to a broader range of audiences and on 'selling' an idea rather than 'engaging' the audience. That's how we define the difference."
The deadline for entries is 29 January, 2010 and all entries will receive constructive written feedback from judges. The winners will be announced at the awards gala dinner on 18 June in London.
