There is still an opportunity to apply for this year’s intake of the Post Graduate Diploma in Internal Communication Management accredited by Kingston University. The course equips internal communication professionals to operate at a senior level, providing a depth of understanding about communication and change, as well as the knowledge and tools to develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies that make a lasting difference. The programme combines four short workshops spread over a 12-month period with individual study. It is assessed through written assignments, designed to bring practical value throughout the learning process.Course director Liz Cochrane explains: “The diploma gives people a highly-respected professional qualification. But in tough times people need to be able to demonstrate an immediate pay-back. That’s why we have designed the course so that students apply the theory they learn to current challenges in their organisation – meaning they will have a real impact internally, at the same time as they learn. “Probably the most frequent feedback I get is just how useful the diploma is from the start – together with the increased confidence it brings.” Diploma graduates can go on to do a “top up” dissertation which leads to an MA. The programme is run jointly by Kingston University Business School and Capita Learning and Development, and begins in early September.
