IoIC welcomes two new regional directors this month.
Lesley Allman is aiming to promote plenty of community spirit as director of the Central Region and Nikki Bailey takes up the director role for IoIC Scotland.
 “I’m delighted to be taking up the role,” Lesley said. “I’ve been a member for many years and found the events and networking opportunities really fun and useful.
“I’d like to build on the great work that has already been done in the Central region by exploring ways members in our area can feel that they are part of a community and can tap into one another’s knowledge and experience both at and in between regional events.”
Lesley runs the award-winning Derbyshire-based Allman Communication Ltd – a consultancy specialising in employee communication and engagement. In 2010, Allman Communication campaigns won the FEIEA Grand Prix for Best European Communication Strategy; a Corp Comms Award for Best UK Communication Strategy and the IoIC Central Award for Best Communication Strategy.
She’s aiming to reach out to Central Region members. “I’ll be looking for best practice and suggestions from communicators in the region, as well as seeking out ideas from other IoIC regions and other internal communication organisations,” said Lesley. “All contributions welcomed, so please get in touch with me if you have any ideas (lesley@allmancommunication.com).”
 And taking up the Regional Director post for IoIC Scotland is Nikki Bailey.
"I'm delighted to be working in the role, and hope to advance the IoIC's presence and reputation in Scotland over the coming year. The events and training available to Scottish members feel like an untapped resource at the moment, so I hope to promote these, getting people more involved in Scotland," said Nikki.
Nikki's day job is business manager at White Light Media, a design and publishing house based in Edinburgh. In addition to this diverse and challenging role, she also sits on the Standardised PQQ working group with the Scottish Procurement Directorate, and has been a highly-active member of IoIC Scotland over the past year.
