A one-day practical course looking at social media strategy and implementation in an internal comms environment has been set up by the IoIC in Scotland. Focusing on social networks, multimedia use and blogging, harnessing employee enthusiasm, and understanding social media communications, it will take place in Edinburgh on Wednesday November 23. Those attending will learn how to: • Get the basics right • Create personas to build, develop and complete a social media strategy • Develop strategic internal communications using social media • Focus on social networks • Focus on blogging • Use multimedia in internal social media • Manage social media use The course will include interactive exercises and a Q&A session, when delegates can bring an example of their own use of social media for constructive critique.
