A practical course, full of hints and tips, designed to highlight the importance of internal communications and employee engagement during periods of change - from strategy to practical execution.

The Institute’s Communicating Change training course has been running since 2004 and has been attended by dozens of communications professionals from all industries.  Run by experienced change communications consultant Dave Oliver, the course provides a practical and wide-ranging introduction to the challenges, principles and techniques of communicating during times of change.  This course is for anyone with responsibility for managing the internal communications and employee engagement around a change programme.

The one day course includes:

• What happens during change and how communication can make a difference.  This section includes the classic change curve and what people go through during change as well as the steps communicators can take to guide them through each phase.
• Getting the message right – the importance of good message management, including the Five Cs – clarity, consistency, co-ordination, context and conversations. 
• Supporting leaders and managers – why line managers are key to successful engagement and how we as communicators can support them to ‘step up to the challenge’.
