This is not a theoretical lecture but a practical introduction to this fascinating topic. Anyone taking the course will leave feeling confident that they can discuss cultural change programmes with their HR colleagues and understand the style of communication they’ll need to employ if their cultural change programmes are going to deliver results. Illustrated with case studies of successful, and less successful, culture change programmes he has experienced from financial services to telecoms, Mark will give internal communicators an insight into what will work, and what won’t, when the leadership team decides they need to change the culture of their business. Mark says, ‘Putting understanding of corporate culture at the heart of all your comms will make your life easier and your communications more effective’. About the tutor Mark Hill is a director of Tailor-Made Communication and the Institute’s Regional Director for the South. He has been fascinated by culture change for more than 10 years and put its study at the heart of his Kingston post graduate studies. As a senior in-house manager and consultant he has been involved in almost a dozen cultural change programmes over the last fifteen years - from attempts to make Post Office employees more customer-focussed to post-merger integrations in the financial services industry.
