About IoIC

CommunicatorsNetworking is one of the key benefits of IoIC membership with numerous regional events across the UK and Ireland that bring internal communicators together under the IoIC banner. IoIC members work in internal communications and change management, producing intranets, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, videos and other communications tools.

IoIC members' companies include blue chips like Lloyds TSB, Esso, Barclays, Rolls-Royce, BT, AXA, BSkyB, Norwich Union and many more. Full information on every member is available to you on the members-only section of this web site once you join.

The IoIC also cultivates links with other associations with a similar remit, providing cross-disciplinary PR/Marketing support and knowledge. But that's not all we offer. There is also:

  • A Business Support Helpline and Factsheets
  • Online forum for IoIC Members and Facebook and LinkedIn groups
  • A Twitter feed of the latest news, job vacancies and training courses.
  • Priority entry and attendance discounts for a wide range of national and regional events (networking, professional development and training opportunities)
  • A monthly e-zine complete with case studies, advice and information on events, training, seminars and conferences plus editorial contributions from acknowledged communications experts
  • A copy of communicators, a monthly glossy magazine packed with features, advice and analysis of who's doing what in the world of business communications. You can download a sample copy of communicators in PDF format (3.3Mb) by clicking here. Our members have access to a complete electronic library of all back issues.
  • Automatic eligibility to FEIEA, a European network of 5,000 communicators
  • An annual conference, a two-day event representing the "Cream of Communicators" - as speakers, workshop presenters, delegates and entertainers.
  • An awards dinner and an awards lunch, where your efforts are recognised by way of the two IoIC Editing and Communicators of the Year awards.
  • Access to the Members-only section of this web site containing valuable contacts, information and resources.
  • IoIC also has a very active Freelance Forum and you also have access to the searchable online IoIC Freelance Directory. Member freelancers may advertise their services in communicators magazine at reduced rates.
