Details

Delivered over two days of interactive online webinars, discussions and practical exercises, Accelerate Part One covers the fundamental foundations of strategic internal communication practice and equips practitioners with the learning they need to add even more value to their organisation and build their reputation as trusted advisors - from objective setting and planning to creative execution.

Accelerate is particularly aimed at individuals with 1-5 years' of internal communication experience who are looking to take on strategic roles with confidence, but will also benefit more experienced practitioners who wish to fine-tune their skills and gain new insights.

Consisting of six distinct modules, Accelerate Part one covers:

The Fundamentals of IC Planning

We’ll show you why planning is everything in internal communication – and give you a powerful blueprint you can use to build your own plans.

Hardwiring IC to Organisational Goals

To succeed in internal communication, you need to deliver results that are hardwired to your organisation’s goals and strategy.

Advanced Audience Segmentation

We’ll show you the best tools for audience segmentation – and give you a flowchart for putting everything into practice.

Making Your Messages Stick

Making your message stick is the holy grail of communication. We’ll teach you little-known storytelling tricks that guarantee people will remember your message.

Choosing and Using the Right Channels

Selecting the right channels is a crucial part of your role as a communicator. We’ll show you the pros and cons of key channels – print, electronic & face-to face– and how to build a robust channel framework of your own.

Creativity for Communicators

We’ll show you how to make sure innovation is ‘baked in’ to your schedule, so you’re always seen as the person or department bringing new ideas to the table.

All participants will also gain:

  • Pre and post course access to Canvas, the IoIC's online learning environment, where they will find all course materials and be able to engage with their fellow participants
  • The opportunity to try things out in the workplace before coming back together as a group for discussions and feedback
  • A network of like-minded professionals to connect with and learn from
