IoIC Fellow Alison Harmer is the multiple award-winning writer and editor behind Harmer Editorial, a micro business that helps organisations to connect more effectively with their target audiences. Alison has a 35-year track record of copywriting, editing and proofreading for agencies, corporations, charities and the public sector. As a true all-rounder, Alison has seen both sides of the corporate communications fence. Before going freelance in 2001, she worked at ING Barings where she oversaw its rebrand and later joined Regus as PR and communications manager. Before that, she was a senior editor at Sequel and Beetroot, and the chief sub at AB.

Andrew Harvey is CEO at VMA Group, an international recruitment and executive search specialist, in Communications, Marketing and Digital. VMA Group operates the UK’s largest Interim and Permanent, Internal Comms recruitment team.
Caroline is the Head of Internal Communications at Lloyds Banking Group. The Group has c.65,000 colleagues and serves more than 30 million customers across the UK and includes famous brands like Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Lloyds Bank and Scottish Widows. Caroline and her team develop and deliver strategic pan-Group and pan-Divisional content. Caroline has been with Lloyds Banking Group for 9 years, during which time she has led the Group’s Internal Communications content team, as well as several senior business partnering roles, covering a variety of business areas. Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Caroline held a number of internal communication roles at Friends Life (now part of Aviva), where she completed her post graduate diploma in internal communications.

Claire Widd is an award winning Internal Communications professional with over 10 years’ experience in communications, spanning brand, marcomms, change & transformation and employee engagement at both a regional and global level in assurance services, utilities and technology. Claire is a Certified Member of the Institute of Internal Communications (CIIC) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). Currently, Claire is Head of EMEA Internal Communications at Rackspace Technology, managing internal communications across UK, DACH, Benelux and the Middle Eastern markets. Claire is also the Regional Director for the Institute of Internal Communications’ Central Region, a position she has held since January 2021.

Clare Elevique is Brand Manager for Skanska UK and has 12+ years’ experience in communications, brand, marketing and employee engagement. She has worked across various sectors, including charity, retail and construction. Her current role focuses on the brand strategy, value proposition and employer brand strategy. She is lead for the disability and careers network at Skanska, and iOS passionate about improving the accessibility of communications platforms to provide a more inclusive and enabling environment. Clare has been a mentor with the IoIC for 7 years and co-mentors individuals across a variety of sectors.

Emma is Director of Marketing and Communications at Nottingham Trent University and sits on the University Executive Team. She was previously Director of Marketing and Advancement at Loughborough University. She started her career in fashion and consumer PR in 1988, working in tourism and destination marketing before settling in higher education in 1997. A Founding Chartered PR Practitioner, Chartered Marketer and Chartered Manager, she has won a string of awards over more than two decades spanning PR, marketing, innovation, fundraising, digital, and web. Emma holds an MBA and various PR, marketing and management qualifications. She was the Chartered Institute of Public Relations President 2019.
