Justine is the IoIC Board Director for Awards and Events. She has worked in Internal Comms for more years than she is prepared to admit, across the Government, Financial Services and FMCG. She is currently head of internal communication at London Stock Exchange Group.

I am an internal communication and engagement professional currently working with the CIPD having previously headed up teams at the Civil Aviation Authority and Scope. As an IoIC board member, an alumnus of the IC postgrad diploma, and a representative of a professional body, I am enthusiastically committed to raising standards of practice within internal communication - and recognising the very best work carried out by practitioners.

After a quick stint in publishing with Thomson Reuters, I started my IC career running an intranet for Volkswagen Group employees. I then moved agency-side, joining Sequel Group in 2014. After recently achieving my Masters in Internal Communication Management, I’m a firm believer in investing in professional development and am excited to see how FutureNet can help IC newbies to build their confidence and careers.

She has spent over ten years working in internal communications, beginning with the first role to focus on internal comms and employee engagement at global security company G4S. After this, Cathryn went to work in transport for FirstGroup plc, heading up the Corporate Internal Communications function and her last in-house role was back to the security sector as Marketing and Communications Director at Securitas. Most recently, Cathryn has joined the IoIC's London Region committee and is looking forward to helping to deliver an exciting new programme of events over the next few months.
