This highly interactive virtual course, delivered over two live sessions, will equip IC professional with new knowledge around the theories which underpin successful change management communications and provide the opportunity to apply new skills and techniques to a real life change scenario in a safe environment.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will: 

• Have valuable new insight into the psychology of communications and the dynamics of engaging with different audiences and stakeholders in times of change
• Understand how to start and develop a change communications plan
• Be able to identify the most relevant communications channels to engage with and get buy-in from stakeholders
• Know how to measure and evaluate the change communications initiative

The course will cover

• What happens during change and how communication can make a difference. This section includes the classic change curve and what people go through during change as well as the steps communicators can take to guide them through each phase
• Understanding the neuroscience of change - how to use language to make messages stick and why stories are critical in times of change
• Using the SCARF model to help employees remain engaged and motivated during change
• Supporting leaders and managers - why line managers are key to successful engagement and how we as communicators can support them to step up to the challenge

About the trainer

Nicole Utzinger’s professional career spans more than 20 years in organisational/internal communications and people development in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. During that time, she has focused her attention on effective communications and people engagement gaining extensive experience and international expertise in leading and motivating multi-cultural audiences as well as designing, managing and delivering high-profile organisational communications and people development projects for organisations such as Microsoft, UBS, GlaxoSmithKline and DIFC-Dubai International Financial Centre.

Nicole is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and holds a coaching diploma from CTI – Coaching Training Institute, accredited by ICF, International Coaching Federation.
