IoIC is delighted to announce its latest offering to support individuals who have been made redundant or, as a self-employed practioner, have seen a significant decline in their income as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

From today, internal communication professionals who have sadly lost their jobs due to the ongoing crisis can sign up for six months of IoIC membership free of charge by completing this form.

This offer is applicable to both current and non-members who have lost their jobs, and self-employed practitioners whose income has been significantly impacted, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are committed to providing the best support and advice we can to the internal communication profession and, by signing up to this latest offer, individuals will be able to gain free access to a wealth of onine resources, content, webinars and digital events, which will enable them to continue learning, connect with their peers and ensure they are in the best possible position to return to the job market.

You can also find out more about a joint initiative between the Government Communication Service, CIPR, CIM, IoIC, LGA and PRCA to provide support to all communication professionals which includes:
  • a new portal on the GCS website listing communication roles in government; the service is available to communication professionals with government and non-government backgrounds
  • inviting communications practitioners who have lost their jobs in the UK to register via the portal their availability for any potential work within government

As always, if there is anything we can help with, do get in touch by emailing [email protected]

We have also created an IoIC Covid-19 LinkedIn group where IC professionals can share – and ask for – advice, best practice and links/resources with other communicators to help support their audiences through the Covid-19 crisis.
