Final preparations are underway for the next IoIC & Solent University Masters in Internal Communication Management programme beginning in three weeks.

The 2021 – 22 programme has a hybrid working pattern: two-day face to face workshops (subject to Covid regulations) to kick off each of the four modules, with the option of joining remotely, followed by a combination of online discussion and independent study as students apply their learning to workplace issues, in keeping with the programme’s theory into practice approach.

The Masters is also benefitting from an expanded teaching team. Existing team members – Liz Cochrane, Jenny Davenport, and Domna Lazidou – who have all been involved since its inception, will be joined by Oli Howard and Ranjit Sidhu, previous guest speakers who are now officially joining the team. Both have an excellent track record of making a significant difference working at senior levels in organisations. They are also past alumni, so understand the challenges of combining study with full time working.

Ranjit is a consultant and published author specialising in change management. She works extensively with organisations helping them communicate with and engage people in change. Oli has worked in senior communication roles in government and non-profit organisations. He is currently working with CIPD, the professional body for HR and the wider people profession, meaning he can tap into their latest research and thinking about the world of work.

The team are putting the finishing touches to the programme: drawing as always from current students about the input they need to be at the top of their game, from the IoIC to understand trends, and from constantly evolving theory across the wide range of topics that underpin being an excellent practitioner, from psychology and neuroscience to radical new ways of thinking about change in an agile and uncertain world.

There are still a few spaces left for the 2021-22 programme, and applications are open until the 5th of November. To request the application form click here.
