There was no time for monkeying around when Sequel Group created two short films to bring ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos’ Special Children’s Day to life.

Supported by Barclays, the annual Special Children’s Day gives children with special needs the chance to experience the zoos to the full. From sensory storytelling in the rainforest exhibit and building bug hotels, to Barclays digital playground and ‘Singing Hands’ shows, this is an unforgettable day out.

Barclays is a long-standing video and film client and when Sequel heard about this excellent cause we wanted to lend a helping hand too, by donating our time to produce films to showcase the day.

Three of Sequel’s video team spent a busy two days at London Zoo, covering a whopping 36 acres to capture a flavour of the event and highlight how much the children, parents and even animals were enjoying themselves.

The team then had the challenging task of cutting down hours of fun-filled footage into two engaging five-minute videos, one to support Barclays CSR campaign and the other to build awareness of ZSL’s great work.

Elaine Draper, Director of Accessibility & Inclusion at Barclays (and sponsor of ZSL Special Children’s Day 2015), was full of praise for Sequel’s hard work and creativity:

“Through a chance mention of this event, Sequel Group quickly saw the opportunity to support and generously offered their services. We’re extremely grateful for their involvement in this special project; providing the ZSL charity with a bespoke digital asset they will be able to use again and again – ensuring the legacy of the Special Children’s Day events continues.”

And Sequel’s client manager, Claudi Schneider, added: “We have days allocated for CSR so this was a great opportunity to use them for something that really made a difference for one of our clients.”
