IoIC members are being offered a large discount on tickets to the Finding Your Groove: Overcoming Barriers To Innovation event being staged in London by IABC on October 21.

As communications professionals, we often see innovation as happening elsewhere - ideas and initiatives created by other teams or outsourced to agencies- rather than bringing creativity into their everyday workplace.

Innovation should be something we do instinctively. It can inject a freshness that’s not only rewarding and collaborative, but from a business perspective also makes us more competitive.

So how can we stay on track, inject creativity into our everyday work, without losing focus?

This event, being held at Circus Communications in Marylebone High Street from 6-8.30pm, explores how to remove barriers, gain an outside perspective and keep us switched on to new ways of working. With a panel of innovation experts and practitioners, be prepared for a lively discussion with ideas, practical tips and some disruptive thinking along the way.

Speakers will include:

Cesar Lastra (pictured) - innovation expert and international speaker

Dik Veenman - founder of The Right Conversation and expert in dialogue and effective team conversations, including brainstorms

Ezri Carlebach - innovation consultant, writer and lecturer

Gorkan Ahmetoglu - business and consumer psychologist and Director of Digital Enterprise at Goldsmiths College

Tickets cost £30 but IoIC members can buy theirs for just £5 - the price includes entry to the event, drinks and nibbles.
