The Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) have partnered to share a selection of key resources with each other's members to better support the profession through the next phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The resources - which will count towards both associations CPD - will be available to members until the end of September. They include a range of webinars, skills guides and factsheets largely created for internal communicators at a time when the relevance of their role within organisations is being recognised as more valuable than ever.
The two Institutes have also issued the following joint statement:
During this recent pandemic, there has been no doubt of the value internal communicators have brought to their organisation. Many have had to hit the ground running, step under the spotlight, and guide their leaders with messaging to help colleagues stay informed and connected throughout this challenging time.
I knew our internal communications community was strong, but this recent crisis has confirmed that when we need each other the most, we all come together. The messages of support, the offer of help and, the work you have done for your organisation so far is something each of you should be proud of.
There is no denying that the next phase of the crisis, recovery, is going to be tough. The importance of your work in supporting the economy during this time will be critical. Working from home has been a necessity for many, and with staff returning from furlough, it’s highly likely that organisations will need to consider some significant cultural shifts in the way they work, for the foreseeable future at least.
Priorities will have also changed for some colleagues, and mental health will be a vital issue for many who have struggled during the past few months. How you bring colleagues together so they are invested, engaged, and motivated will be crucial to the success of the organisation.
IoIC and the CIPR Insidewill be partnering to share resources across jointly across our memberships. We hope that these resources will help you to continue to deliver great communications and support your organisations throughout the next phase of this crisis.
