Be involved in the future of IC!

There’s never been a better time to be involved with the IoIC. As the UK’s only dedicated professional body for internal communication, we’re celebrating 70 years of shaping, influencing and championing great IC, and now we’re calling on you to help us shape the next 70.

We have several available positions on the IoIC board of directors and we are looking for internal communication professionals with the talent, skills and energy to join us as we continue with our strategy to demonstrate why we matter at work.

Getting involved with your Institute benefits you and your profession:

For you:

  • Be recognised as a leader who has a strong commitment to our profession
  • Develop new skills and learning
  • Be in the place where we’re shaping and steering the IC agenda
  • Network with peers within your profession

For the profession:

  • Advocate for the value of internal communication to business, economy and society
  • Influence standards and professionalism
  • Bring awareness and enhance the image of the profession to young and aspiring professionals
  • Deliver new thinking and debate to help others deliver their best.

Joining the IoIC board is a three-year commitment that gives you the chance to make a difference. Along with your fellow board members, you will have responsibility for developing and driving the strategic direction of the IoIC. You’ll tap into the expertise and enthusiasm of your board colleagues and the HQ team, working on one-off projects and longer ongoing strategies.

You must be an IoIC Member to stand for the board.  You will need to attend the four face-to-face board meetings held each year and dial into the monthly board calls to share and hear activity updates.

Timeline for elections:

  • Nominations due: Wednesday 10 April
  • Voting opens: Monday 15 April
  • Voting ends: Friday 26 April
  • New board will be announced: Thursday 9 May at our Annual General Meeting in Bath.

If you have any question or would like to discuss this further please email me at [email protected] or IoIC President Suzanne Peck at [email protected]

We hope that you take this exciting opportunity to become more involved in your Institute and help elevate us and the profession to the next level!

The Nominations are now closed.  The results will be annouced shortly.
