The third edition of Exploring Internal Communication has been published - and is available at a discount of 25% to IoIC members.

Edited and co-authored by Kevin Ruck, the founding director of PR Academy, the book includes new chapters on the history of internal communication, the evolution of employee engagement, the current state of practice, change communication, storytelling, research and measurement, an internal communication measurement dashboard, intranet management and internal social media.

The book emphasises that there is no magic internal communication ‘silver bullet’. Instead it aims to provide a grounding in theory and practice that can be used to tailor effective internal communication to the enormously varied organisational situations that exist.

It features insights from a range of experts including Mary Welch, senior lecturer in communication management at Lancashire Business School; Professor Nigel M. de Bussy, Head of the School of Marketing at Curtin Business School, Australia; intranet specialist Mark Morrell; PR Academy co-founder Ann Pilkington; and Simply Communicate community and editorial manager Gloria Lombardi.

Exploring Internal Communication can be ordered from the Gower Publishing website. IoIC members benefit from a special discounted rate of £22.50 (full retail price £30). The code to access this discount is available from the Knowledge Bank area of this website (please remember to log in first).
