IoIC is in discussion with several universities to identify a new ‘home’ for the Masters course in internal communication management.

The programme has been running at Kingston University for 15 years but will be on the move following a review of the business school’s postgraduate portfolio in the light of changes  in strategy.

“It’s the end of an era for the Masters but by no means the end of the story,” says Liz Cochrane, the IoIC board director for professional development.

“The MA and Post Graduate Diploma are fantastic qualifications which are very highly regarded throughout the internal comms profession, receiving great feedback from both students and alumni, as they makes a huge difference to people’s careers.

“They have also received very positive feedback on the academic front. Kingston University has stressed that its decision reflects changing strategic priorities and is in no way a reflection on the quality of the degree.

“The Masters is playing a key role in the development of the profession, and in ensuring that internal communication professionals have the knowledge and skills to influence at the highest levels in organisations. So, we’re very confident about the future and working with a new validating university, and will keep people updated about progress.”

The current cohort will continue their studies and finish their qualification at Kingston. Anyone interested in future postgraduate IC courses should email [email protected]
