Speakers from IBM, Grant Thornton, the NHS, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the British Red Cross and IoIC’s Team of the Year, Northumbrian Water Group have all been lined up for IoIC Live 2016.

The Institute’s annual event will focus on the theme: ‘Humanising Internal Communication: it’s a people business’, examining how we connect across our functions and audiences to bring people to the forefront.

“We know that people are the lifeblood of our organisations, but how often has internal communication focused more on business strategy, results and the long-term future rather than the people who do the work?” says IoIC president Suzanne Peck.

“IoIC Live will aim to make our communication more relevant, more engaging and more human.”

The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham on May 5-6 and will include:

  • Practical and interactive sessions
  • Discussion
  • Thought leadership, and
  • Networking

Speakers already confirmed for IoIC Live 2016 include:

  • Dr Leandro Herrero of the Chalfont Project (pictured)
  • IoIC's Communicator of the Year, Jane Lawrence of the Northumbrian Water Group
  • Helen Schick of the British Red Cross
  • Tony Kay of the FCO
  • Emma Bridger of People Lab, and
  • Rachel Royall, director of communications and marketing at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals Trust.

More speakers will be added soon.

The cost for the whole event, including meals and accommodation is £550+VAT for IoIC members (£650+VAT for non-members), but there are other cost options. The ‘early bird’ prices – saving £50 – are available until February 11.
