Unlocking employee voice : shaping and influencing conversations to add value

You can't pay lip-service to Employee Voice

It’s recognised as an important factor of employee engagement. It has proven links to better productivity, innovation, profitability, and happy workplaces with the power to transform organisations, especially as employees switch to social and collaborative platforms for conversations.

Internal communicators have the power to support and influence effective dialogue, but how do we do that and why must we think more deeply about the meaning of “voice” and the role of the employee?

In three hours, our IoIC Insight seminar will challenge your thinking, get you talking, shift perceptions, share valuable information and arm you with practical tips that you can implement tomorrow.

Here’s how:

·     Nationwide Building Society’s Big Conversation is transforming conversations and communications throughout the business. What’s driving the change, how is it empowering employee voice and how is it delivering value for the business?

·     Paul Philips, Head of IC and Engagement at Time Inc UK, who publish NME, Country Life, Marie Claire, TV Times and other titles, talks about how they’re ensuring employee voice is heard during an ongoing programme that is changing business and culture and how it is impacting on a diverse and cynical audience.

·     Cathy Brown is Executive Director of the government’s engagement champions, Engage for Success. What difference is employee voice making to engagement - what evidence is there that it works, what needs to improve, and where is employee voice heading?

·     Sheila Parry of theblueballroom will lead an interactive session encouraging us to think more deeply about employee voice and how the ultimate performance of an organisation is in the hands of its employees. What are the benefits of taking this more strategic approach to making the employee the star of the show, and changing the dynamic within organisations.

The Insight seminar starts at 2pm and finishes at 5pm at the iconic London Stock Exchange building in the city of London.

Presentations to the IoIC ICon Award winners and new Fellows will begin with a drinks reception at 5.30pm.
