What is the IoIC Board’s role

Under the IoIC’s articles of association, the Board has authority delegated from the Members to set the strategic direction of the IoIC and how it engages with its members and other stakeholders as well as wider business, government, society and the media.

As well as the strategic nature of the role, we also look to our Board directors to:
  • Lead on specific portfolios to support the development and delivery of all IoIC activities encompassing: events, awards, professional development, communications and networks.
  • Take on projects to develop our position as an Institute - this could include devising new activities and leading on initiatives to help us campaign on the importance and impact of internal communication on both organisational success and working lives.
  • Be an ambassador for IoIC and the internal communication profession.
The Board consists of 12 elected representatives and is fundamental to the running of the IoIC.
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 26 April and the results will be announced following our AGM on 09 May.
