Webinar: How to communicate the Ukraine crisis with employees
On this webinar we were joined by Kimberley-Marie Sklinar, Communication Manager, and Amanda Coleman, Crisis Comms Consultant, as they discussed the challenges of communicating about world events, such as the crisis unfolding in Ukraine, and how to overcome them.
The conversation covered:
- What to do if leadership refuse to communicate about events such as Ukraine.
- How to approach communication about events that are likely to last months, if not years.
- The importance of understanding the impact taking an ethical stance has on other areas of a business and how to acknowledge employees’ concerns.
- How internal communications can be more prepared to deal with crises.
We’re making this recording free for members and non-members to attend and ask that you consider making a contribution to The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain to support people in Ukraine. The IoIC will also be making a donation.
Amanda Coleman has worked in crisis communications for more than 20 years and is the author of Crisis Communication Strategies.
Kimberley-Marie Sklinar has worked in internal comms for seven years and volunteers as part of IoIC’s FutureNet programme.
