About Sector Conferences

The IoIC is running two sector-based conferences from May-July.


The IoIC’s Virtual Sector Conferences are for Internal Communication professionals to learn from each other about the challenges within their sector. The programme will include forward thinking, inspiring speakers as well as the chance to network and have receive sector-specific advise/expertise.

For this series, we are focusing on these three sectors:

Financial Services chaired by Paul Diggins Thursday 6 May 9am-1pm
Manufacturing/Construction/Utilities chaired by Kate Jones Wednesday 14 July 9am-1pm


Call for Contributions!

In a first for IoIC events, we are running a 'Call for Contributions.' We are actively seeking speakers and content for all three conferences. We would like to hear from people who:

  • Have a case study that show great internal communication in practice, that others could learn something from
  • Could be a keynote speaker – with a passionate viewpoint or piece of robust research that covers internal comms and/or the sector
  • Would like to chair some roundtables/debates
  • Design and deliver/host interactive workshops
  • Be on a panel to discuss the internal communication issues affecting your sector

This is your chance to showcase success, present new insight and discuss them with IC professionals in your sector. What are you doing differently? What are your best practices? What experiences can you share that will help your peers?

If you think our audience will enjoy hearing from you, then we will too. 

We will also be producing Sector reports after each event, so your insight could also feature in these - these will be made available to all delegates.

If you would like to put yourself, or your team, forward then please complete the online form. Deadline for contributions are below. Forms will be reviewed by the Events Editorial Board and contributors will be contacted up to a month prior to the conference. You must be available on the date of the conference between 8.30am and 1.30pm.

Each of the sessions will be practical, insightful and interactive. We will feature experiences from leading brands and fellow IC professionals in your sector, along with useful thought leadership, networking, and valuable time to pause and reflect.

The cost per conference is £75+VAT per member and £99+VAT per non-member. And for any non-members that book, we’ll waive the £60 joining fee to become an IoIC member.

We will also be producing Sector reports after each event which will be made available to all delegates.

Each conference will cover all aspects of the Profession Map and counts towards your CPD (4 hours per sessions).
