The Institute of Internal Communication and FutureNet are on a mission to position internal communication as a career of choice and encourage students and young people to pursue their first role in this exciting profession.

As part of the FutureNet initiative, we're pleased to be able to offer a visit to your school, college or university from a member of the FutureNet committee - a dedicated group of internal communication professionals who themselves are in the early stages of their career - as well as the IoIC head office.

We're here to explain the role and purpose of internal communication; describe what a typical working day might look like; talk about the knowledge and skills needed to thrive as an internal communicator, and provide some direction for getting started.

Internal communication is about so much more than being a good writer. So whether you're working with English, journalism, media, business studies, psychology or sociology students, or you just want to diversify the pool of career opportunities for students and young people, get in touch with us today by completing our online enquiry form or emailing [email protected] and help us drive forward the next generation of internal communication experts.

To support this work, members of the FutureNet committee have worked to produce the first Internal Communication Career Guide - everything you need to know about the role, why you should go after a career in internal communication, and how to get started.
