The business case for pride at work is compelling. It builds brand reputation and customer loyalty. It increases innovation, quality, productivity and profit and reduces health and safety incidents and staff attrition.  Communicators talk a lot about pride, especially in the context of employee engagement, because we know that when people are truly proud of what they do and the organisations they work for, performance levels increase.

But pride is an intensely personal emotion too. We can feel it for ourselves, privately, and perhaps express it more readily about others whom we care about and admire. People who have pride in what they do are more successful and happier. They take more care, make better decisions and build better relationships.

This session presents the PRIDE model, a practical framework to achieve these positive factors at work, and demonstrates how communicators have a pivotal role to play in creating a positive performance culture. It is aimed at senior practitioners who are looking for a fresh and strategic approach to take to their leadership teams that can make a tangible, positive impact on employee engagement.

The Masterclass will cover:

  • The five components of PRIDE: Purpose, Reputation, Integrity, Direction and Energy; what they mean and why they are important

  • How to create these conditions in your organisation and tie them in to your own organisational goals

  • Thinking differently about why people come to work and what makes them feel pride.
