CPD Cycle
IoIC

Identify: Think about 'where I am and where do I want to get to?' Sometimes a simple SWOT exercise can help. You can use the IoIC Profession Map to help guide your thinking and create objectives in the online portal.

Plan: Start your personal development plan - what your broad aims and specific development objectives are, with clear outcomes and milestones to track progress.

Record: Identify the activities which are going to help you achieve your plan, record the details and assign the CPD hours.

Reflect: To claim your hours and make the most of this experience, take time to think about what you gained from the learning experience and how you are going to implement it in your future career.

Submit: When you have completed your CPD cycle, submit your portfolio for review. Create opportunities to apply the theory into practice and put your learning to work. Then start your next cycle.
