Uuganaa Ramsay is an award-winning author, speaker and consultant who helps organisations build inclusive, culturally competent strategies and workplaces where people do their best work. Drawing on her experience as a writer, charity founder and consultant, she works with leaders to strengthen cross-cultural communication, increase employee engagement, and improve internal communication so teams can collaborate effectively indiverse and global markets. Uuganaa’s advocacy and storytelling have been recognised internationally. She has been featured by the BBC, The Independent, the United Nations and UNESCO, giving her a platform to champion inclusion and cultural competence. Across corporations, healthcare, education, government and nonprofits, Uuganaa brings lived experience and strategical insight.
Jody is a communications professional with nearly 20 years’ experience across internal and external communications in the financial services and energy sectors. He is currently Internal, Digital and Creative Communications Director at Centrica, having previously led internal communications at Lloyds Banking Group. Earlier roles included head of communications for Bank of Scotland and for Lloyds’ Consumer Finance business, with responsibility for internal communications and media relations. Passionate about the power of effective communication to drive engagement and performance, Jody is also an IoIC Board member.
Heather Corley is an experienced communications professional with expertise in internal engagement, leadership communication and crisis navigation. With five years’ experience in Higher Education, she develops and delivers strategies that connect senior leaders, colleagues and students, ensuring clear, two-way communication and stronger employee engagement. In her current role, she advises senior leaders on communication approaches, manages crisis communications for major IT incidents and uses feedback to drive continuous improvement. Heather also co-leads the University of Glasgow MPA Peer Network, enhancing collaboration and connection across professional services staff.
John is a strategic communications specialist and political adviser with extensive experience across public, charitable and cultural sectors. As head of the chief executive’s office, he leads both internal and external communications for the chief executive. Previously, he held senior communications roles at the St Vincent de Paul Society, SportScotland and Glasgow Life, and served as a leadership adviser at Glasgow City Council. His expertise spans strategic comms and PR campaigns, external relationship management and crisis response, with a focus on supporting senior leaders through clear, empathetic communication.
