Speaker
Kendrick Lamar’s diss track "They Not Like Us" showed how we all have the capacity to tap into a primal human instinct: the drive to define the "in-group", thereby creating an "out-group". By excluding the outsider and connection with the insider we create beliefs and norms in the workplace which can erode trust and cohesion.
In this talk, Dr Naeema Pasha will explore how AI is becoming the new architect of trusted boundaries. By synthesising her work on the "human-dehumanised" workplace using Henri Tajfel’s Social Identity Theory, she will examine how AI algorithms might act as an engine for group-think, triggering our most ancient biases and eroding the emotional labour that sustains professional trust. And quality of trust is something all organisations need in these challenging times.
