This session focuses on strengthening how we connect to the employee voice by shifting from simply collecting feedback to consistently closing the loop with clear actions and communication.
It explores how to build a robust listening ecosystem that combines frequent pulse surveys with qualitative channels such as small-group dialogues, frontline observation, and digital platforms, creating a richer, more continuous picture of the employee experience.
It also addresses how to translate sentiment and insight into prioritised decisions leaders will act on—improving context behind decisions, increasing feedback cadence, and following through more consistently. Finally, the slot links listening to impact by outlining how to design an internal communication (IC) strategy and plan that turns insights into targeted messages, leader enablement, and measurable outcomes.
It shows how regular check-ins and structured follow-up can help spot trends earlier, guide focus areas, and support team action planning - ultimately strengthening trust, clarity, and business performance.
Three takeaways from the session:
- Building a listening ecosystem: pulse checks, small-group dialogues, frontline observation, and digital channels
- Translating sentiment and insight into decisions leaders will act on
- How to effectively build an IC strategy and plan considering this, and making business impact
