Frontline Communication

Frontline Communication

Part of our exclusive free training series for IOIC members.

Frontline employees are the people who keep organisations moving. They deliver services, operate sites, maintain safety, serve customers and keep supply chains running. Yet they are often the hardest audiences to reach when communication matters most, with the IC Index 2026 finding communications often fail on the frontline.

The IC Index 2026 also found that frontline employees are less positive across a range of topics, including levels of trust and feeling able to share opinions without fear.

In this practical and insight-led session, we will therefore explore how you can build more effective communication approaches for frontline and operational workforces.

Drawing on experience across sectors including logistics, manufacturing, transport, engineering and infrastructure, we will share lessons from organisations that are successfully connecting employees to change, culture and opportunity.

What will the course cover?

Together we'll explore how communication can support three critical priorities:

  • Driving change: helping safety initiatives, behavioural shifts, digital transformation and operational change land effectively
  • Building engagement: creating stronger connections between frontline teams, leaders and organisational purpose
  • Supporting growth: helping employees understand development opportunities, build capability and see a future within the organisation

Attendees will leave with practical ideas, real-world examples and proven approaches that can be applied immediately within their own organisations.
