The IoIC Profession Map Framework which was first developed by the Institute in 2016 sets the benchmark for internal communication professionals and teams and plays a key role in driving professional standards. The map identifies key knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve our core purpose as internal communicators - to enable people at work to feel informed, connected and purposeful in order to drive organisational performance.
As the professional body for internal communication we are also on a mission to to raise awareness of internal communication as a career of choice through our #IChoseIC Campaign. The campaign aims to introduce and support the next generation of internal communication professionals and create a profession which is sustainable and fit for the future.
