Course Overview

FastTrack is a specialist learning programme built around coaching. With weekly coaching sessions and group discussion, what you learn gets tested against your role straightaway.

You'll build knowledge and skills, from the core principles that shape effective internal communication to techniques you can put into practice in your own role from day one. You'll work with your coach to apply your learning, building an approach that's genuinely yours and growing your impact as a communicator as you go.

You'll get space to understand your own strengths and values, build a confident mindset, and acquire a resilience toolkit to support your career growth.

Group coaching calls are also where you'll build your network. They're a chance to share what's working, work through what isn't, and build real connections with other internal communication practitioners facing similar and different challenges.

By the end, you'll have your own internal communication roadmap: built around your role, your approach and where you want to develop next.

What you'll gain

  • A clear grounding in the key principles of internal communication
  • A better understanding of your own strengths and where you add value
  • Your own communication approach and style
  • A clearer sense of your personal development ambitions
  • An internal communication roadmap built around you.
What will you learn?

The programme covers core internal communication topics and helps you to use that framework to develop new ways of thinking and discover the relevance to you as an individual.

The course is designed to provide you with practical actions you can implement straightaway, allowing you to work on these throughout the programme with the support of your coach.

You will also explore your personal development ambitions and put together your future internal communication roadmap.

The programme will explore key topics including:

  • The purpose and value of internal communication in organisations
  • Objective and value-driven communication
  • The behaviours and competencies needed for effective internal communication
  • Employee voice and the art of conversation
  • Getting the most from your channels
  • Stakeholder groups and adapting approaches
  • Content creation, curation and impact
  • Working with leaders and managers
  • Influence and impact as a communicator.
Who is the course for?

FastTrack suits anyone who wants dedicated time and space to develop their approach to internal communication, whatever stage you're at. Many people join while building their career; others come back for a fresh perspective, a confidence boost, or space to think differently about a role they've been in for a while.

FastTrack could be for you if you:

  • Want coaching and tailored support to grow as a communicator
  • Are looking to refresh your approach and update your thinking
  • Want space to reflect on your strengths, style and career direction
  • Work in a role with internal communication responsibilities, even if it isn't your job title
  • Want to learn alongside a group of peers, not just from a screen.
