On Thursday 18 September, over 400 internal communication professionals gathered at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club for an evening of inspiration, recognition, and celebration at the IoIC Awards 2025.
This year’s Awards were extra special as they marked 70 years of championing excellence in internal communication. With close to 300 entries, the judging panel praised the standard of work, noting that “there's some truly outstanding internal communication happening out there, from incredibly skilled individuals and teams.”
The evening began with IoIC Chief Executive Jennifer Sproul setting the tone for the future of the profession:
“As we mark 70 years of the IoIC Awards, it’s clear that internal communication is not standing still. The future of our profession is human-led and technology-enabled, built on connection, collaboration, and creating real value for people and organisations. This year’s Award entries show exactly what happens when we get this right.”
Awards Chair Justine Stevenson reflected on the legacy and community spirit of the Awards:
“For seven decades, these Awards have shone a spotlight on the individuals and teams driving connection, clarity, and change within organisations. Tonight is our moment to reflect, recognise, and rejoice in that.”
The evening built to a highlight with the presentation of the Grand Prix Award, which went to: National Grid – Big Work by Goldbug & National Grid.
It was a night that celebrated history while embracing the future – and most of all, the people and teams who make a difference every day.
