The leadership work of Internal Communcation.

A conference for senior internal communication practitioners who advise their organisations and lead the functions that deliver.

Time: 9am - 5pm
Date: 25 November 2026
City: London

About the event

Designed for those who lead internal communication.

Trust, change and rising workforce expectations are reshaping the organisations we work in. Our IC Index research shows that leaders believe the strategy is clear, while employees say otherwise, and that trust in leadership keeps falling. For those leading internal communication, this has always been the job. What has changed is the pace, and how much now rides on getting it right.

This day is built for that job. It covers influencing leaders and earning a place as their trusted adviser. It covers keeping leaders connected with their people through change, and what agility really asks of leadership. And it covers the skills senior practitioners need to lead what comes next.

You will not spend the day being told internal communication is important. You already know. Instead, expect speakers who bring an outside view, and table talks with peers working at your level: the conversations you cannot have inside your own organisation.

Who is it for?

Senior internal communication practitioners who advise leaders and lead functions, whatever their title, and those preparing to step up. Leave with clearer thinking and more confidence in the advice you give.

What you will get.

Table talks with peers working at your level, and speakers focused on the realities of senior work. Leave with fresh perspectives for the leaders you advise, ideas to strengthen your function, and the confidence to make the case for internal communication where decisions are made.

What it covers.

How senior practitioners are doing the leadership work of internal communication: influencing leaders and earning their trust, keeping leaders connected with their people through change, building more agile functions, and developing the skills to lead what comes next.

Sessions confirmed so far.

The art of influencing and persuasion. How influential are you, really? An interactive masterclass on the psychology of why people say yes, from influential language to the six principles that shape human decisions.

Building leadership connection through change. Helping leaders find a shared direction through a major integration. See how one financial services organisation combined consistent messages with open dialogue to help leaders communicate with greater confidence.

Working with leaders. From influence to trusted advice. Discuss at your table what earns internal communication a voice in strategic decisions, and how to challenge leaders constructively.

Your teams are agile. Is your leadership? Why better messaging alone will not close the strategy gap. The IC Index found 87 per cent of senior leaders believe strategy has been clearly communicated, but only 57 per cent of non-managers agree. Hear what more than 70 organisations show about adapting for real.

Earning a seat at the table. Becoming a trusted adviser to leaders. Candid, field-tested insights from an executive coach on building stakeholder partnerships, taking a strategic stance and speaking truth to power.

Table talks. Your turn to shape the conversation. Three times during the day, swap ideas with other delegates at your table, connect what you have heard to your own work, and take away fresh thinking from your peers.

Speakers confirmed from: Agile Business Consortium, All About Soft Skills, BELOVD, Gates Group Consulting, Nationwide Building Society and more to come.
