It’s my pleasure to introduce the IoIC Awards for 2026
For over 70 years, these Awards have celebrated the very best in internal communication – shining a spotlight on the people, teams and ideas that create meaningful connections within organisations. This year, we continue that proud tradition while embracing the exciting evolution of our profession.
The world – and our work – is changing faster than ever. Artificial Intelligence is now part of the conversation, not just as a tool but as a partner in creativity and strategy. That’s why, for 2026, we’re introducing recognition for AI-driven work and providing guidance on how we expect AI to be used in crafting entries. We want to celebrate innovation while ensuring integrity and human insight remain at the heart of internal communication.
Our Awards continue to evolve to reflect the dynamic nature of our profession. This year, you’ll see we’ve refined some classes and introduced a new one:
- Best Strategic Alignment & Strategy Communication – celebrating clarity and impact in communicating organisational goals and direction
- Best Leadership Communication Programme – honouring programmes that inspire, engage and empower leaders to communicate effectively
- Best Listening Programme – recognising initiatives that truly hear and act on employee voices

Best AI Skills in Internal Communication - looking for excellence in developing and applying AI skills to strengthen internal communication strategy
As always, every entry will be rigorously evaluated by a panel of senior professionals, and uniquely, you’ll receive a written critique offering insights and suggestions for future growth.
