How to secure a seat at the table post COVID-19

Recently, I've seen quite a few conversations about the importance of internal communications during COVID-19. Some have argued that this newfound responsibility and seat at the table may be the lasting change we have always hoped for. Without wanting to jump on one bandwagon or another, I've tried to look at the situation from both the employee and leadership perspective.
