Keen to learn ways in which we can do our part as an institute to fight climate change and work towards becoming a carbon neutral organisation, IoIC CEO Jennifer Sproul along with our marketing, professional development, and content and communications managers attended an eight hour carbon literacy training and certification course with the Carbon Literacy Trust via certified trainer and author of Sustainable Marketing, Michelle Carvill.

As a team, we pledge to:

  • calculate and evaluate the carbon footprint of the IoIC and look at ways in which to reduce and revert it,
  • create and share resources to help spread awareness and understanding of climate change and increase carbon literacy among our members,
  • establish partnerships with whom to collaborate to drive innovation of climate change solutions, and education of carbon literacy.

The world will not become carbon neutral overnight, but we intend to lead by example in hopes that our efforts will be shared by our members across their own organisations as a first step in spreading awareness and making a difference for our future, today.
