In a successful Annual General Meeting (AGM), we laid out our strategic vision to guide our efforts in the coming years. Highlighting our dedication to advancing the field of internal communication.
The strategy is aligned to our purpose to be the leading professional body solely dedicated to internal communication. We aim to lead the way in advocating effective internal communication and enabling the highest standards of its practice. We are building a movement of passionate, dedicated and skilled professionals.
Our strategy revolves around five key focus areas designed to strengthen and expand our impact:
We are committed to building a global and diverse network that provides tailored support and meaningful experiences for our members. This includes enhancing our online community and supporting our networks to foster a rich exchange of ideas and opportunities for connection and learning.
Elevating the standards of our profession is central to our mission. We are developing new learning programmes, offering free member training, and launching a Profession Map diagnostic and careers portal to ensure our members remain at the forefront of professional excellence.
As leaders in the field, we aim to offer forward-thinking insights, robust data, and engaging discussions. Our goal is to help shape the future of internal communication by providing valuable content and fostering community dialogue.
Our goal is to elevate internal communication as a career choice, raising awareness and fostering entry opportunities for diverse talent. We aim to build our outreach programme through our #IChoseIC campaign, provide clearer pathways and establish opportunities for anyone to pursue a career in internal communication.
We will continue to highlight the vital role of internal communication in organisational success and advocate for its impact on working lives. Our efforts include leveraging research, thought leadership, and success stories to drive policy and engage with external stakeholders.
This year, we have an ambitious lineup of projects and initiatives designed to achieve our strategic goals. These include:
These initiatives are crafted to support the evolving needs of our members and showcase the important work within our community.
