About LumApps

Work today is fragmented. Information lives in different systems, tasks happen in multiple tools, and employees spend too much time navigating work instead of progressing it.

At LumApps, we solve that problem by bringing work together. Our platform is an AI Employee Hub that connects communication, tools, and knowledge in one place, designed around how people actually work.

Instead of adding another system, LumApps organizes the digital workplace so employees can access the information, resources, and workflows they need in the flow of work — whether they’re in the office, on the frontline, or working remotely.

When work comes together, people move faster, teams stay aligned, and organizations operate with greater clarity.

What inspired you to become a sponsor of IoIC?

Internal communication leaders play a critical role in helping organizations navigate change and maintain alignment across increasingly complex workplaces.

That mission closely mirrors our own. At LumApps, we work with internal communications professionals every day who are trying to reach distributed teams, cut through information overload, and turn communication into coordinated action.

Supporting IoIC felt like a natural extension of that work. It allows us to contribute to a community that is actively shaping the future of internal communication while learning from the professionals leading that transformation inside their organisations.

How does your organisation support the internal communication community, and how will your partnership with IoIC strengthen that impact?

We support internal communications professionals by giving them the infrastructure they’ve been missing for years: a single place to reach the entire workforce with clarity.

LumApps helps communication teams connect headquarters and frontline employees, personalize messaging across audiences, and understand whether messages are actually being seen and acted upon.

Our partnership with IoIC strengthens that impact by connecting us more closely with the professionals driving the discipline forward. Together, we can share insights, highlight emerging best practices, and help communicators demonstrate the real business value of effective communication.

Which three topics or trends in internal communication are you most passionate about right now?

1. Turning communication into action

Internal communication shouldn’t stop at awareness. The real opportunity is connecting communication directly to the workflows, tools, and tasks employees use every day.

2. AI that actually helps people work

AI has enormous potential, but only when it’s connected to real employee workflows. We’re excited about how AI can help employees find information faster, reduce friction, and focus on meaningful work.

3. Reaching the entire workforce

Many organizations still struggle to reach frontline and desk-based employees equally. Creating a unified communication experience across the entire workforce is one of the biggest opportunities for communicators today.

What opportunity do you believe internal communicators should be focusing on right now?

The biggest opportunity for internal communication leaders is helping organizations move from fragmented communication to connected work.

For years, communication has lived across newsletters, collaboration tools, intranets, and messaging platforms. The result is noise and inconsistency.

By bringing communication into the flow of work — where employees access tools, tasks, and information — internal communication leaders can create far more clarity and impact. Instead of simply sharing updates, they become central to how organizations align teams and move work forward.

AI adds an important new dimension to that opportunity. When communication platforms use AI to surface the right information at the right moment, employees spend less time searching and more time acting. For communicators, that means moving beyond distributing messages to shaping how information is delivered, understood, and applied across the organization.

Finally, what’s one fun fact about your organisation that might surprise us?

One thing people are often surprised to learn is that we’re not trying to build a “better intranet.” Our goal is to make the digital workplace actually help people get work done.

With LumApps Agent Hub, employees can interact with AI agents that not only surface information — they also help complete tasks. Whether it’s answering HR questions, finding the right policy, or triggering operational workflows, these agents work alongside employees in the flow of work.

For many organizations, that’s the moment the digital workplace shifts from being a place where information lives to a place where work actually happens.
