At IoIC, we have been shocked and saddened by the speed of events and the situation in Ukraine. We know that some of our members, as well as non-members across the IC sector, are from Ukraine and other countries affected, or have close links or family members there and our thoughts are with everyone impacted.
IoIC President Suzanne Peck said: “Seeing the images over the past few days really brings home the core principles on which the internal communication profession is built: diversity and inclusivity, mutual respect and tolerance, working with dignity and pride, ethical behaviour and communication, and safety, particularly psychological safety, in the workplace. Sadly for many people in Ukraine, these core principles are being eroded as their working lives are upturned.
