The Committee is hosting a thought leadership event to support communicators wanting to develop their careers in a challenging market, and where buy-in and recognition from senior leadership isn’t what it once was.

Consider these two points in this year’s Gallagher State of the Sector report:

  • "Around 27% of comments spoke to lack of leadership buy-in, businesses not recognizing the value and importance of communications, being left out of decision making and not being seen as strategic."

To help the internal communication profession reclaim the 'strategic advisors' ground, the IoIC London Committee is hosting a refresher on what it means to operate 'strategically' with some hints and tips on what this looks like and means.

IoIC Chief Executive, Jennifer Sproul, will share her thoughts on how participants can develop their careers and grow into more strategic roles, along with the behaviours they could focus on to lift their stakeholders’ perceptions of their value-add. This will be followed by a broader discussion with a panel of IC professionals and those in the room.
