IoIC Awards 2025 Judging Form for Skills

With different judges for different categories we do want to try to achieve a degree of consistency in the marks allocated. Below is a guide to help with the scoring:

1-4 – Poor and there is no or little evidence of how the criteria have been met

·         This score will need explanation in the comments of why the score is low and what should be considered to improve future entries.

5-8 – On the right track but needs work

·         If giving this score in the comments you should highlight what is good and what tweaks might make it a better entry.

8-10 – Very good or excellent

·         Entries attracting this score will demonstrate the best of our profession and comments should highlight what makes it the best of the best.

In the comments section you should look to summarise all of the above areas in 200-300 words (and at least 150 words). Your comments should offer constructive criticism where appropriate and summarise what future entries might demonstrate to improve marks. Remember that your comments are what distinguishes our awards from many of the others out there – so it is important that the comments ‘add value’. Your comments will be shared with entrants and should not include language that indicates whether it is a winner or AoE winner.
