This unique fastrack 10-week coaching and learning programme will introduce you to the key principles of internal communication, and will support the development of an effective and meaningful communication approach. 

The course will provide specialist guidance on core skills, concepts and behaviours, and will equip you with tools and techniques you can implement into your work. 

 

Why this course?

 

This specialist coaching and learning programme is designed to develop skills, knowledge and confidence for those just starting out in their internal communication careers. 

Delivered over just 10 weeks via a blended learning and coaching approach - including a combination of on-demand content and resources, coaching and activities - the course will introduce you to the principles of internal communication and lay the groundwork for the development of your personal communication approach. 

The group coaching calls provide the opportunity to share your learnings and experieces, bounce ideas, build strong connections and develop your confidence as future practitioners.

 

Who is the programme for?

 

This programme is aimed at those who are starting out in internal communication and who want to build strong foundations on which to develop their future IC careers. The course will support students to explore the possibilities in this growing profession, and will help them to identify their strengths, communication style and interests, and consider their next steps. 

The course is also suitable for those who would like to better understand the role of IC within their organisation but where IC may not be their primary role or ambition, as well as those who have some IC experience but would like support with their communication approach. 

The course does not require any prior knowledge. 

This course is not a certified programme, however it is a great foundation before taking IoIC qualifications.

What will you learn?

 

This specialist coaching and learning programme will provide a comprehensive introduction to internal communication - exploring principles, concepts, skills, knowledge and behaviours for great internal communication and best practice approaches. 

The course will also provide you with the opportunity to better understand your strengths and where you contribute, develop your personal communication approach and style, and explore your personal development ambitions. 

Key topics on the course will include:

  • The purpose and value of IC in organisations
  • The behaviours and competencies needed for effective IC
  • What is meant by employee voice and the art of conversation 
  • Channels and how they can be used
  • Stakeholder groups and adapting approaches 
  • Content curation and impact 
  • Working with leaders and managers 
  • Objective and value-driven communication.

The next course will start on 13 September and will run until 25 November.
