The AI Shake-Up: Agility & Navigating Organisational Wide Change

The AI Shake-Up: Agility & Navigating Organisational Wide Change

The world of work isn’t just changing; it’s being shaken up by AI. For IC professionals, this isn’t about communicating a software rollout, it’s about navigating a fundamental and potentially complex cultural shift.

This course is designed to help you navigate disruption, manage work-related anxiety and actively shape the narrative for what’s likely to be the biggest transformation to date. It combines the tactical discipline of Agile with the strategic reality and challenges of AI adoption, enabling you to build and maintain influence.

The focus is on navigating nuances including organisational agility, the pace of change and leadership ambiguity, alongside the forces of technology and process change that must be adapted to, supported and communicated with confidence.

Who is the workshop for?

IC professionals facing organisational transformation, particularly those new to working alongside Agile or tech teams, or leading communications for AI adoption.

Most suited to those working around Levels 2 and 3 of the IoIC Profession Map.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

Worth 8 CPD Points
  • Understand AI as an organisation-wide transformation rather than a technology rollout, and recognise how different cultures and leadership approaches shape different change journeys.
  • Engage credibly and confidently with leaders, tech and Agile teams, contributing effectively to conversations about AI transformation and new ways of working.
  • Translate complex AI and technology concepts into human-centred stories that reduce fear, fatigue and resistance, and build buy-in.
  • Adopt the mindset required to succeed in a change environment.
  • Shift to iterative, agile communications that keep pace with delivery cycles and fast-moving environments.
  • Apply our Superpower framework for agility in their day-to-day communications work.

  • Leverage AI to support productivity and manage workload during periods of rapid change.
  • Leave with practical tools, templates and guides that can be applied immediately.

The course will cover:

This one-day course helps internal communication professionals build the skills and confidence to play a strategic role in organisation-wide change driven by AI and technology.

It covers these seven modules:

  • AI as a transformation, not a tool
Understanding AI’s potential as a catalyst for change (and disruption) across technology, ways of working, culture and leadership; identify nuances, critical gaps and misalignment - and what it means for employees and for internal communications strategy.
  • Agility as a core capability
Adopting the mindset required for a change environment, and using practical ways of working to plan, test and adapt communications rather than relying on traditional comms approaches that struggle to keep pace. Developing the ability to adapt comms plans and narratives quickly.
  • Credible working with tech and Agile teams
Building confidence to engage with product and engineering teams, understand delivery cadence and pace, and source stories directly from the work as it happens.
  • Storytelling for transformation and sense-making
Crafting human interest stories and driving the narrative to help people make sense of AI-driven change. Designing storytelling that builds trust and encourages adoption, while managing cynicism, uncertainty and change fatigue.
  • What’s in your control as a communicator
How to avoid burnout by focusing on what’s within your role and control to reduce anxiety and focus effort where it matters most.
  • Using AI to support communications work
How to use AI responsibly and creatively to support everyday tasks.
  • Practical application and takeaways
Through exercises, breakouts and handouts, attendees leave with ready-to-use frameworks, storytelling tools and a clear action plan to apply learning immediately.
